Affordable health insurance is health coverage being offered to us all on each of our terms. Health insurance monthly premiums are becoming the biggest single expense in our lives - surpassing even mortgage payments. Affordable health insurance isn’t just my problem, seems it is everyone problem.

Yes, healthcare is a hot topic but people need to be accountable for what they do to their bodies on a daily basis to prevent catastrophic events from happening.

Depending on the specific situation, it is not uncommon for individuals and families to save up to 25% on premiums with a high deductible plan. Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) can then be set up to coordinate with the high deductible plan. For example, if an employee has twenty-twenty vision, that person will mostly likely not need optical coverage, and it would be a waste of money to purchase a more expensive plan for them.

HMOs provide you with a network of doctors which you must see. You'll be required to pay a small co-payment, usually $5 to $15 for each doctor visit, and you need permission from your plan's primary care physician to see an in-network specialist.

Check online or with a local health insurance agent. Check with your insurance agency about the health of the plan. Some plans aren't supported by adequate capital, or they're owned by a foreign company that fails to meet U.S. standards.

COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) benefits will allow a newly self-employed to continue health insurance at the lower group insurance rates. The company must allow the employer to remain in the group insurance plan for a specific number of months, but the former employee must pay the entire premium. COBRA is a law in which many people could be eligible to remain on an employer's health insurance plan even after they lose their employment. The most ideal person for this coverage is someone who is between jobs and is not in need of long-term help.

No one is aware of when this minor ailment will become complication, if not taken care of properly.
